Accusation of Western Hegemony

Putin accuse the West of causing the conflict, asserting that the United States sees itself as the sole arbiter of truth on the planet. According to the Kremlin leader, Western leaders have lost their “sense of reality” due to what he views as Washington’s “colonial thinking.” He also question what right the United States had to lecture other countries.

The Background

Western Perspective

Nations consider the war to be Moscow’s biggest strategic blunder since the Soviet Union’s invasion of Afghanistan in 1979. Western leaders have express their intent to defeat Russia on the Ukrainian battlefield.
